I’m not the current event host (that would be Jac) but I did say I would help out. I’m sorry for the very last minute posting of this information – I have had a lot of personal issues come up recently since the Picnic which have impacted my ability to do stuff like this and even work on my photos :/
Here is a basic Q&A which should cover most of the questions I’ve heard floating around. I’ll try to help with others if I can.
Q: Where do we park/ how do I get there???
A: The Saint Paul Saints have made a Parking Map (link) that shows the nearby parking lots and the proximity to the field. This also gives you an idea of how to get to the field as well. Rates vary between $5 and $15 and are subject to change. Carpooling or taking the mass transit (IE light rail) is a good idea
Q: Is there a reserved Private room the group has where I can put on and store my fursuit?
A: NO Sadly, we were NOT able to negotiate the use of a private room where people can suit up. And a large part of that sadly had to do with we did not meet their target number for tickets sold for this event.
Q: (Related to above) But I thought this was a FURSUITING event? Where can I store my tote and change?
A: While the venue is still allowing us to costume there this is NOT a fursuit specific event. A lot of us are going just to enjoy the game outdoors with our friends. If you do plan to suit- finding a location to suit up and store your crate (even if its your car) is 100% your responsibility. You may be asked to temporarily remove the head for ID if you are picking up will call tickets.
There are bathrooms inside the stadium that can be used to suit up, but we do not have a location for storage of empty crates. Having a friend/handler who can hold onto valuables is a good idea.
Q: Where are we meeting????
A: At the Stadium. At your seat. We will all be sitting together and there is no designated meet-up spot outside the stadium. If you wish to meet and carpool together talk to someone else who is going. Otherwise we will see you when you get through ticketing and make it to your seat.
Q: When are we meeting? When can I get inside the Stadium?
A: Gates open at 6:05pm and the game starts at 7:05pm I had to do some deep digging to find out when they open the gates to get in, and apparently its 1 hour prior to the first pitch from what I can find out. So any time after 6:05 you should be able to get inside the Stadium.
Hope this information helps. For those going, I hope to see you at the game tomorrow! It will be a smaller group but will still be a lot of fun!
