Minnesota Furs with the assistance of The Geek Partnership Society will be at Twin Cities Pride Festival the last weekend of June (29th and 30th). We will be there to help show what Minnesota Furs can help provide to the larger community of Furs, Geeks and the LGBT and also to help promote Furry Migration 2014.
What we need is some volunteers to talk to those who come to visit about Minnesota Furs’ past, and what we plan on in the future. There will also be a request to help promote The Geek Partnership Society who is paying for the space where we will be promoting ourselves.
The location is Loring Park in downtown Minneapolis across from the Walker Art Center, Booths R51-53. The admission is free for all, but do bring some extra cash to help donate to the various groups and to do some shopping and sample some of the food in the various food courts at the park.
Those who volunteer will be awarded Community Service Hours. One hour of volunteer work will equal one hour toward your Voting Rights. When you do arrive and leave the booth, please mark the date and time on the schedule.
Some recommended things to bring would be: Chair, Hat, Sunblock, Water and Umbrella for shade. It can be very hot and humid most of the day, so these items would help to ensure you have a good time.
