Hello! I was a forum lurker for a few months before making my first posts and looking for events to jump in. I personally got started by just showing up to a community picnic and bluntly telling people I was new and didn’t know anyone. It was really hard to make myself do that – but everyone responded very positively!

Once you choose where to jump in, I’m sure you’ll find people are quite understanding with strangers trying to say hello and meet new faces.
