    At the last Oval Fur Meet, we tried a crazy experiment. One of our community members approached us wanting to use the kitchen area to set up an espresso station, where delicious coffee and cookies were given out in exchange for a donation to MNFurs. The idea was a success! It gave people attending something special and the extra money being generating helped ensure the sustainability of these larger meets.

    We have decided to open the door to others wanting to do something similar. Every Oval Fur Meet, we will have one artisan station allowing an individual to provide a service in exchange for collecting donations to the group. In the above example, the service was food and drink, but this could also cover artwork and other ideas which you may have that we have never thought up.

    If you are interested in becoming an artisan at our of our Oval Meets, please contact [email protected] and let them know your idea!

    Remember, these fur meets are a potluck similar to the picnic, so even if you don’t want to become an artisan, you can still help the group thrive in this location by bringing a food or drink item with you to share.
