– Pre-Meets Discussion –

Hey there, your friendly Events Department head here!

As you know, every once and a while, I do pre-meets.  These are simply gatherings that I’ve been hosting at a mall (Ridgedale traditionally) for a couple of hours and is a time to get together and add more furry to your weekend before the bi-weekly meet.  I am going to plan on doing these on a more regular basis now.  With the temperatures slowly starting to warm up, this brings up some questions below…

 

Want to continue to have them at a mall?

Want to have something outdoors?

Alternate between a mall and outdoors?

 

I am inquiring with the community on this because you are the ones that attend these and feedback is necessary.  During Spring and Summer this can provide other opportunities instead of always being indoors at a mall.  One idea I have is to test run a park pre-meet.  Here we can get together and play frisbee or another sport, do some outdoor photography, and other fun outdoor activities.  Probably will not advertise suiting because then it turns into a romp and that’s not the point of the pre-meets really…Fursuit romps are its own entity.  =p

I think it should be weather dependent. If it’s going to be super hot during the summer, stay inside. *coughnotbiasedatallcough*

But really, if it’s gonna be nice out, why not enjoy the outdoors? I don’t go outside enough as I should, and it’d be nice to have a reason.

I may occasionally join for an outdoor pre-meet… walking around a mall isn’t too interesting to me

After the first round of the WCHA men’s playoffs (March 11-13th), I should be able to start coming to these events…

I agree with Sammi; something outside – if it isn’t really hot or raining – would be great, and on days when it’s not nice, the mall is still a good option.

Thank you everyone for your feedback so far.  This will help give me some ideas for future pre-meets.  I think possibly for the next pre-meet, if it’s warm enough, I want to try a park close by the bi-weekly meet.

Unfortunately no as I will be at another event and same with the 26th.  Next pre-meet will probably be April sometime.
