– Pre-Party Activity ~ Public Ice Skating –

Hey there!  For those wanting to get more fun out of their Sunday before the Holiday Party, then you are in luck!  Earlier in the afternoon the outdoor Oval ice rink is open to the public for ice skating as well as hockey.  I will be there and some of us may even be fursuiting while skating as I know Norm plans to.  That being said, below is all of the information you need as well as some important things to point out…

TIME FRAME:  12:00p – 2:00

ADMISSION PRICE:  $6.00

ICE SKATE RENTALS:  $4.00 – Yes it costs extra to rent skates after admission.  If you have your own you can bring those with you!

OVAL PUBLIC SKATING SCHEDULE:  RIGHT HERE

PARTY ROOM EARLY ACCESS?:  No, we do not get our room ’till 2:00.  Any and all personal belongings keep in your vehicle or in a bag out of site in public skating changing area.

FURSUIT ICE SKATING:  If you plan to skate in fursuit, I strongly suggest that you have a handler with you.  If you are comfortable skating in suit on your own then please be mindful of other skaters around you as they will be curious and may want to interact, get a hug, photo, etc.  Lastly, be smart and be safe around others!

FURSUIT ICE SKATING CHANGING:  Public restrooms, but I suggest you come in under armor ahead of time or whatever you were under your fursuit.  There is no private changing areas in the public changing areas.

FINAL IMPORTANT NOTICE:  This is not part of the Holiday Party schedule and part of the Oval’s regular ice skating schedule.  I will answer questions on site as best as I can, but there is Oval staff on site too for all skating-related questions.
