– Saturday/Sunday Events Discussion –

– HELLO EVERYONE –

 

Hey guys!  It’s time for another one of those discussion threads that I like to do.  Todays topic is Saturday and Sunday events and do people prefer one day over the other.  I am using the weekend because weeknights periodically get scheduled with dinner gatherings, movie nights, & book clubs.  🙂

The question is, do people like to see events on Saturdays or Sundays?

I remember at the winter party at the start of this month, there were people I saw that I normally do not see on Saturdays.  A Sunday is definitely doable as far as trying another small/medium/large (side order of fries? =p) event.

Even though I have work Monday…

Sunday actually works weirdly better a lot of times. If I visit family or get asked to do something it seems always on a Saturday. Sunday people block off because well you got work but depending what it is… Sunday does work better.

Then again as long as it’s fun I’m for any day of the week!

I feel that Saturday works better for people in the aspect of people don’t need to be home, or are able to stay out later having fun. They don’t have to worry about being asleep for work or school the next day. If your talking about just doing stuff during the day I guess that doesn’t really matter, at that point it would just depend on peoples schedules.

Corb – This can go either way whether it’s during the afternoon hours or part of most of the evening.  The last big Sunday event was the Winter Party which had a wonderful outcome.  All depends on the caliber of the event as well.

Sunday is best for me usually, because on weekends I have off (about very other) I have plans with my roommates on almost all Saturdays

Personally either day is fine, but I like Sunday myself – simply because Saturdays are usually already busy with stuff!

Sunday afternoons seem to work better than Saturday afternoons.
Saturday nights seem better than Sunday nights.

I’d just consider alternating the days take bowling for example:

Apr: North Metro Saturday
May: South Metro Sunday
June: North Metro Sunday
July: South Metro Saturday

Thanks for the input Buckeye and since you mentioned bowling, next month I am going to aim for Sunday when we go back to Tuttle’s because Petco is occupying many Saturdays.

I’m all for Sunday events, I work on Saturdays and I never make it to any of the meets.

Right now Sunday is my permanent day off, but that’s because I’m dungeon master from 7 to midnight.  Saturday is hit or miss, depends on how tired I am and how late I work.

I do work mostly on Saturdays but Sundays are mostly free for me but nothing after 8 at the latest.
