– Thanksgiving Event Discussion –

– HELLO EVERYONE! –

 

Hey there, it’s your Events fox again with another round of discussion!  A community member approached me pitching an idea for an event around Thanksgiving.  This would be a potluck-style event (much like a Holiday Party) and attendees bring in an item of the food or beverage category.  Of course suiting would be included in this as that is always a fun thing to have.  Questions below as interest needs to be gathered.

Is there any interest in seeing this happen?

Is there someone willing to step up to the plate to organize this?

Should this happen before Thanksgiving?  If so, how early?

This is an awesome idea, I would go to this! I could help organize it, but I am not entirely sure I could fully do it on my own. If this were to happen, I feel like it would be best to be the weekend before/after…

I like the idea but that said this is during the blackout dates for vacation (I technically work in retail though I do tech support) so I therefore can’t guaranty I can even make it. And speaking for those of us in retail, before Thanksgiving is going to be easier than after with the Black Friday junk.

Sounds interesting! Given my own family events at that time of the year I doubt I’d be able to make it but hopefully it’ll go off without a hitch 🙂

Thank you for the interest as well as your input.  If you decide that you want to try and assist in organizing then let me know as I will make myself available to assist when/as needed as well.

I hope they do not work you too hard.  I use to work retail 10+ years ago before my career job and I definitely know what it’s like to work around that time…Ugh!

Yeah, I will have family commitments too around that time and thankfully on Thanksgiving and not before or after.  I also hope we can get something rolling with this.  😀

I would love to attend this, as long as it is a little before Thanksgiving. I don’t know my family plans this year yet, but they always mess up my own personal plans. I would love to run an event, but I fear that i’m too far out of the cities to really be able to help plan anything. I’d love to try and help out though if I can in anyway.
