The Nut Job movie outing @ MOA

Hey folks!

Looking for anyone interested in seeing The Nut Job, an animated film about squirrels and their nuts. Who doesn’t love squirrels? XD

Anyway, the plan is to see the 7 pm showing of TNJ at the MOA on Friday 1/17. Open invite; the movie would be out around 9 pm so we could meet before and get something fast food like, or wait until after and get some more substantial food.

So, who’s coming? =)

Pssh, Rotten Tomatoes isn’t the “be all, end all” opinion on movies Ze.

It’s not at all but its a good indication. If something is above 75% or below 25% you get a pretty dang good idea if its worth your time or not. From the reviews I’ve read it doesn’t even look fun-bad.

There’s terrible funny (see any Syfy originals. most of them are so bad they’re hilarious!) and then there’s terrible “no fucking way I’m paying for this shit”… this movie looks like the latter.  I’ll wait for better movies.

Well, it got 74% in “normal people” reviews so for those of us who aren’t looking for the next Lion King, I think it’ll be fun.

Personally I wont base my wanting to hit a movie off a website… those sites exist for the lulz.  However, I will base it on how bad these movies usually are and the better ways to spend money.  Hope ya have fun with it all the same though.   And hey, I’m sure it still wont compare to one of the worst CGI animated movies out there…. Foodfight!  Watch it, I dare you. =)

frankly I don’t care what other people and so called rating places say about anything…  just because they didn’t like it with their snobbishness and attitudes doesn’t mean I won’t.  I am looking forward to seeing this movie just on the personal desire to do so… regardless of its value or content in the eyes of others.

Okay I get not completely taking critics word for something but it’s just as silly to dismiss them out of hand. I find them very useful when I’m on the fence about seeing something. I don’t have the time and money to catch every movie I have a passing interest in.

 

More to the point I’d come along to this one just for the social aspect but I’ll be elsewhere tonight.
