– HEY THERE! –

 

Hey guys, it’s your friendly events fox again!  This thread is being created because I have all of these ideas in my head that I want to get out of my fuzzy head and on here.  The ideas I am about to present will be a combination of my own events and events hosted by MNFurs.  These ideas will also mix in with other events that come in as time goes on from other community members.  Some of the ideas listed are ones that are still going on, but adding to this list anyways.  These ideas are also open for discussion which is why I created it in this sub-forum.  🙂

Here they are!

MNFurs Community Bowling – Was named Fursuit Bowling, but I am changing it (reoccurring event)

Fursuit Mini Golf – I hosted a small series of these last summer and it was a hit

Fursuit Romp – These are fun no matter what season it is (reoccurring event) – I am also doing a romp over AD weekend for those not attending AD

The Onion – This is something I was almost able to launch in the past, but something came up.  The onion is a day filled with 3-4 events (aka layers)

Sushi Crawl – Will take place at Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi either in Eagan, Roseville, or Maple Grove.  5 people can participate and the last person still eating sushi before getting to full wins.  Grand prize for the winner will be a Microcenter gift card and possibly other prizes

Sushi Gathering – I need to start doing these again more often =p

Camping Event – No official name yet, but this is something I have wanted to do for a while, but this will be a big event that will require lots of planning.  This would also be hosted outside the twin cities

Park Pre-Meet – PLANNING PHASE

Nature Walk – PLANNING PHASE

Big Thrill Factory Gathering – Norm and I hosted a gathering here almost 2 years ago and it went well.  Might try this again sometime

Duluth Adventure – R&D PHASE (Joint effort)

Redbull Soapbox Derby – R&D PHASE

For the “Handler Romp” why not just make it as a Nature walk instead and market it that way? Could be something we could team up with the Photography club with even. Spring would be a good time for this (after Anime Detour. Early May maybe?) Cute names are fun but sometimes something straightforward works just as well.

Not doing it over AD weekend as I have something else planned.  However, May is a month that will work for this.

Along the lines of the camping event, it could be fun to do weekend events around the upper midwest (ex Fargo, Duluth/Iron Range, Western WI/Dells, Iowa) kind of like we did with the Iowa Furs at the last romp.

I think it would also be fun to charter a boat and do a Furry Cruise on one of the lakes or rivers (DM me for details)

Buckeye – I was thinking Duluth or possibly some place west so we can try to include the ND furs (RRVF group)

Robert – I know you are new so I hope you can make it out to some of our events 🙂

Sammi – I changed it to Nature Walk and yes, all the fish!

I missed the last Big Thrill Factory meet cause of my summer schedule (I only do AC during the summer (after spring picnic and before FM) due to lots of out of town stuff on weekends), but I was there a while ago for a family members B-Day party and it looked like a great place!  I’d be willing to go to that if its held again and my schedule allows.

Alright, so I have some updates with the roster.  Some of these events are happening soon and some are in the planning phases.  Below is a small list of items taken from the roster in my initial post.  I have also made changes to my initial post on where things are at.  Anything crossed off are events happening soon and can be marked off.
