– Three Events in the Works –

Hey there, it’s me again with two events in the brainstorming/planning phase.  Both of these are events are food-related meaning that they will be gatherings at a restaurant because hey, we all love food right?  The first one I will discuss more below and I welcome any feedback for discussion.

The first idea I’ve had on the back burner for a while, but was waiting for the weather to warm and now it is.  I want to plan a gathering at Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge in NE Minneapolis.  I have eaten there once a long time ago and I remember how good it was and most likely still is.  I need to look up information to see if there is either a room we can rent or get something sectioned off for us.  Keep an eye out as more information will be released soon.  Otherwise, question for all is below…

Next up, this one will be fun to discuss, I have this event that I want to do and I plan to call it the sushi crawl.  The idea behind this is to eat at an all-you-can-eat sushi venue (ex. Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi) and there will be a contest for someone who can eat the most sushi rolls during the gathering.  I need to plan this more, but whoever wins they will get a prize like a gift card or something else.  This will also be a time for all you sushi lovers to stuff your muzzles with fish…Question time!

Lastly…In the past I have eaten at The Nook in St. Paul.  This is a cool and very good little restaurant that has some tasty burgers.  Aside from good food, they have a cool downstairs bowling alley.  I plan to give them a call at some point to ask what it would cost to rent an area or even the whole alley since it’s small.  More information on this coming soon and hey, question time again!

Both of these events are still on the back burner with nothing set in stone.  Getting these out here for all to discuss !

– EVENT UPDATE ~ SUSHI CRAWL –

 

I have an update on one of the events I have on the back burner…This one is for the sushi crawl.  To keep it brief, this is going to be an event where you can either come out to simply have fun, eat, & socialize or you can participate in the contest (hence the name).  The contest will consist of 3-4 participants (or more) and they will all eat sushi until only one remains.  Don’t worry though, we will be having this at an all-you-can eat venue so you just pay one price for all the sushi.  =p

The last one standing will receive a prize and that prize I am still trying to figure out.  Depending on how many people want to come out for this (contest or just for fun), it will either be at the Kyoto in Roseville or Maple Grove…The one in Maple Grove is much bigger.

This will be an event that I will launch next month so stay tuned in for more information soon!  🙂

– EVEN UPDATES ~ SUSHI CRAWL ~ THE NOOK –

 

Hey, it’s me again with more updates…For the Sushi Crawl, I am working out a small list of rules for those that want to participate in the contest to win a prize.  After doing some thinking, I have decided that the prize is going to be a Microcenter gift card.  I plan to launch this on either Saturday or Sunday of next month…I am also thinking of maybe having this at the Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi in Eagan as well…Or Maple Grove, we will see.  I am done dealing with the Roseville location due to reasons that do not need to be public.

For The Nook, I have been looking at special pricing for groups and it is expensive…Two lanes for three hours is $110 and they go up when you extend the hours.  I am going to suggest that we keep this as a regular lunch or dinner gathering.  If we want to bowl afterwards, then we can just pay per game.  I do plan to still call to see if they do take reservations for us in advanced.  More information on this soon!

My event for Psycho Suzi’s is still on the back burner with no updates as of now.

– UPDATE ~ PSYCHO SUZI’S MOTOR LOUNGE ~ THE NOOK –

 

Okay, so I’ve had a lot of people poking me and inquiring about Psycho Suzi’s…This gathering is still on the back burner for me as I have not given it much thought with the other two events I want to launch first.

To allow myself more time to get my ducks in a row for this one, I am going to have this be something I do in June.  I am having May be my slated month for The Nook and the Sushi Crawl…Also a fursuit romp.  =p

For The Nook…I was recently given some more information on their dining situation.  Previous community members have eaten there many times in the past as well as bowled.  I was unaware that their dining extended to their basement where their bowling alley is.  Time to call them soon to see if I can setup a reservation in advance !

I’m interested in Suzies, but I kinow it can get crazy busy on weekends.  What about a slower weeknight on the patio?   Furs by the Tiki volcano?

Both the Nook and Suzi’s can be crazy busy. I’ve bowled at the Nook for a company outing, but wasn’t able to eat because there just wasn’t enough time because the place was packed. A weeknight might be better for this.

Crescent – Weeknights can be a challenge simply because of everyone’s work schedules.  Some have weeknights off and some have weekends off yes, so the tradeoff becomes interesting.  Is it possible?  Of course, but again, it is just challenging and a roll of the dive on interest and attendance.  I would have to start up a conversation thread about it to see what interest is there…
