Communication is a very important part of Minnesota Furs group. To make sure that we have some of the best communication of any fandom run organization we need the help of several individuals who would like to dedicate some time each week to help Minnesota Furs communicate to it's members over the Internet.
Some of the Duties this position will include:
- Write communication for the group
- Help maintain static group description pages
- Work with other editors to proof announcements
- Help post on various social networks
- Help with maintaining audio/video chat systems
- Bring attention to posts to the people who need to respond to them
- Direct group staff to necessary postings that require their attention
- Suggest web site changes
- Test web site changes
Skills and Expectations
- Willingness to use FaceBook, FA, Twitter, Google+, EMail, and other social media web sites
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Patience and diplomacy in dealing with individuals
- Understanding of CMS (Content Management System) is desired but not necessary
- Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS is desired but not necessary
- Basic artistic design skills is desired but not necessary
- Basic understanding of SEO is desired but not necessary
- Basic understanding of social and website metrics is desired but necessary
- Spending around 1-4 hours a week helping out the site
- Willingness to meet once a month if necessary
- Ability to respond to emails in a timely manner
- Willing to have fun with a team of people who care about Minnesota Furs
