Hiya! Im Taters, which… Honestly is what most of my friends call me. My real name is Dakota, but due to a long story from my freshman year of high school, I’m mostly known as just Taters now. I have business cards if you are interested.
Anyway, I’m 19, and im not exactly a furry. As you can probably tell from my picture, I’m surely a brony. But that’s only because it realy caught me. I always grazed over the furry fandom, coming back to different groups but ultimately never really being a part of it all. My main connection through high school was a friend of mine who was much more involved. But I always enjoyed any kind people to have a conversation with, and whe I saw the first “postcard” ads for the Furry Migration at Animinneapolis one year, I knew I had to go. I later hung out at the Polar Bear Cafe room at Anime Detour, and finally attended the first Migration along with my friend. It was a crazy weekend, we met some fun people, and due to a mixup with hotels we actually slept in my car.
I joined the forums almost exclusively for the con, which is evident by my only posts. I love conventions in general. Though i’ve only referenced Anime conventions, I’m really not a huge Anime fan. I’ll watch it of course, but I’m no otaku. I love Conventions because i get to meet all sorts of people, and everyone is there to have fun, so no one is ever excluded. As such, I found MNFurs purely through my convention experience.
I love to be a part of any community, even if i never delve so deep as to be a big part of anything. So maybe I’ll post around, maybe not. No matter what, i definitely don’t plan to miss the Migration this year!
