Maybe have your parents talk with one of the members on MN furs, I know they offer a lot of education and explain well to parents for young furs. Or even though I am not a board member, I am willing to chat with your parents too and try to explain the best I know of thr Fandom. Granted I have only been in the Fandom for about 4 years or so. I’ve always been interested in it but it took my son to tell me that he wanted to be a furry for me to look more into it and it helps there is this site and conventions.
Also it might help explaining to your parents in why you want to be a furry or what interests you about it. Maybe ask why they feel you shouldn’t be a furry. Communication is key, and sometimes tricky with children and parents (regardless of their ages).
Wishing you all the best,
MamaDragon
Maybe get your parents to read more about the good side of the community! I know the bad part is a very very small part of the community! Tell them it has art and very beautiful kind hearted people who are there for you!I love furries and I’m looking for young furs like me! :3
I would have them talk to you but they don’t know I’m on here :/ BUT I have a plan;If I go to a meet maybe thell be like hey these people are nice 👍 and then i can tell them I’m on here but thanks for the advice!Hi Nali, you may want to show them our resource for parents Help My Kid is a FurryIf they want to speak with me (kitsunekla (at) mnfurs.org) or any members of our board of directors (directors (at) mnfurs.org) feel free to point them in our direction and we can answer any questions that they might have about MNFurs or about the furry fandom
