Flash Photography Theme Description:
This month’s challenge is on Flash Photography: the subject of photos submitted to this challenge should use a flash to either fully provide the main light source, or supplement it (such as using a flash to fill in shadows on a portrait). Flash photography gets a very different look then what you can get with natural lighting, and this is a common way of doing photos at a con or Bowling event where the ambient light is often less than ideal. It can also be used to make an eerie look to an otherwise normal setting.
Flash photography is often used for still life photography and includes Studio Photography for Human Portraits and Fursuits against a backdrop in a Studio where the flashes are triggered remotely and are not attached to the camera body.
Duration and Dates for this Photography Challenge:
- Submissions will open on Monday July 12th and end on Saturday July 24th. After the 24th you will not be able to submit or upload additional submissions.
- Voting will open on Sunday July 25th
- Voting will end on Saturday July 31st
- The most popular Photo(s) will be Announced on Social Media in early August.
Submission Rules and Guidelines:
Some important rules and guidelines for this Photography Theme Challenge:
- In order to submit your photos for this contest you must be logged in.
- Each member of the MNFurs.org website can upload up to five images to be critiqued and rated by the MNFurs community.
- Those members who submitted photos to the challenge can still vote and comment on other member's photos when voting begins.
- This contest is open to any member of the MNFurs community, including Board Members, Staff, and Volunteers.
- All submissions must be Rated G and cannot include any nudity, violent, graphic or hateful symbols, language or themes.
- The recommended submission size is 1920 x 1080 or 1080 x 1920. Photos larger then those dimensions will still be accepted by the uploader but will be re-sized and may have quality loss.
- Every submission will be reviewed prior to being posted by a moderator.
- This challenge is just for fun, There are no prizes or awards for this challenge.
