he first Bi-Weekly meet in December is re-scheduled to 12/13. The Dec community meeting will start prior at 4pm.

- Honestly this sounds like a bad idea. It basically means those of us who could not or did not go to the con now do not have an alternative to attend with friends. Granted we could still just go on our own accord anyway, but a number of us see no need for the change of date.

Zen: There was actually a fair bit of talk at meets and in chats with people about the timing of the meets, given MWFF, Christmas, and all that. I’d have pushed all of them into times where almost no one would be going for a month, so after talking it over it was felt the community was better served by moving the dates. This would allow members to attend without conflicting with the con, early Christmas plans, and also timed it to match up well with the community meeting on the 13th and the holiday party in January! While it does suck a bit for those of us that didn’t go to change the schedule, for most of our members it’s a help. That’s why 🙂
Went to the con..Loved it and the chlorine..
Thanks to the date change, will likely make this meet up. Thx
The chlorine wasnt so much fun the rest was thoughGood to know people got out of there safely, see you folks at the meetElectronic Music - EDM, Industrial, Synth
Nocturnal - You will rarely see me during the day, I work nights
Demi-Sexual - Fun first, flirt later
Foodie - Food Adventures constantly, not a fan of fish thoughSo, is the meet starting at 6 PM like it’s posted in the December Events Line-up, or will it still be at 5 PM like it says on the Bi-Weekly Meets page?Any chance someone heading along 494 from the east metro to the meet able to lend a ride? Thanks!
Jac
I’ll see everyone next meet as I’m still in New York visiting family. Have a good meet!In solitary moments magpies will perch on a branch and mutter soft soliloquies of whines and squeals and chatterings, oblivious to what goes on around them. It is one of those things, I suppose, intelligence now and then does, must in fact now and then do, must think, must play, must imagine, must talk to itself. What, finally, intelligence could be for: finding your way back.

Sorry for the long pause –
The bi-weekly meet will start off after the Community Forum Meeting since they are at the same location. The community forum meetings have been running 1 to 2 hours depending on participation.Member of Minnesota Furs a 501c3 Non Profit, former Convention Chairman for Furry Migration, volunteer, and always doings lots of other stuff.
Feel free to ask questions because I'm here for you!
Kurst "YipYap" HyperyoteI don’t suppose we could vote on something like this in the future? I know some folks had specific work schedules to get every other Saturday free for the meet weekends, and now that’s switched, supposedly for good, it is going to cause problems for people with conflicting work schedules and potentially other alternate Saturday recurring plans.I originally thought this was only for December, but then was told it was “for good”, and the post doesn’t really make either stance clear.

According to the calendar, it only affects to the two meets in December, and returns to the normal schedule with the following meet on 1/17. I assume this is the most accurate information. I will double check.
Edit: confirmed – only the 12/13 and 12/27 meets are affected by this date shift.

Okay. Good, this is good news for a lot of people, but it still means some won’t make either meet in December. And then there’s no meet for three weeks I guess?

There’s no meet per se, but the holiday party is 1/10 so there’s only a two-week break between events.
Saturday 12/27: alternate bi-weekly meet at the Machine Shed
Saturday 1/3: (nothing)
Saturday 1/10: MNFurs holiday party at GPS
Saturday 1/17: bi-weekly meet (back to standard schedule and location)Okay. Good, this is good news for a lot of people, but it still means some won’t make either meet in December. And then there’s no meet for three weeks I guess?
