Hey there! You are certain to find this is a welcoming group that is happy to talk and get to know each other, particularly without casting judgement as you mentioned. You are certainly welcome to attend our upcoming event. You sound like you would be someone there to interact and learn not sit and gawk. There are a few non-furs that regularly attend our biweekly meets. I would be happy to talk with you at the event as well as online if you are looking for that. You’re more than welcome to come to the 17th event and I look forward to it =3 (Im drsaki on the AD forums). If you have some questions that youd particularly like answered, you can ask them here, or even have a sheet to have us answer to you in person if youd like. Like Z said, we’re very welcoming. Hope it goes well and you get some info out of it =3

… What the two of them said up there! More than welcome ^^ And to be honest.. I just did a paper similar to the one you’re doing now XD I did it on subculture of furries too. Mine was slightly easier though since I actually knew the people so yea! Talk with us and we will gladly talk back! :3 (this seems like a popular subject for those types of papers recently haha)I’ll be at the party on the 17th, so you’re welcome to ask me anything! I’m always interested in this sort of stuff!Hello there, Sputnik! As Zepaw and Sike already stated, you are more than welcome to attend the midwinter party on the 17th. We will all be there so feel free to ask any of us questions relating to your assignment on furries. We are all more than happy to provide feedback so you can give good structure to your paper.
Talk to you soon!

Ooh, I’ve always thought it was kind of fun to read about what other people think of us. :3 Even when it’s negative, I still find it interesting. I’d be glad to help out with this, though I haven’t had time to become really involved. School + work = 0 free days and very little free time für mich. I made sure to get the 17th off, though, so I’ll hopefully see you at the party. ^^welcome, If you can theres also gonna be 2 gatherings as well coming up..I’ve written papers on furries as well. :3. See you at the partay! The history of the furry subculture as well as the evolution to its current form is a really interesting topic. I look forward to seeing you at the midwinter party.I am very interested to read and help with these papers. Going through college, I never had a chance to write such papers (instead I wrote papers on the effects of a doped silicone on electrons and such). you can send me a private message here or at [email protected] if you’d likeFirst hi! welcome! Nice to hear the AnimeDetour community were able to help you reach us.That said, Saturday we have a Bi-weekly meeting at Perkins, in Minnetonka. However I anticipate turn-out will be very light. Because as you and others noted there is a Mid-Winter party going on Sunday. In fact I’m not planning to attend said meet (St. Cloud,Gas,Ugh) for that reason.
We have a lot of well informed (haha, I’m not one of them) people regarding the history, but feel free to say hello if you see me at the Mid-Winter Party. (I’ll wear my badges, Twisted!).
EDIT: Yeah, my plans last weekend 180’d as I attended the meet but not the party. Sorry I didn’t get to meet you.
I won’t be making it to the meet sadly, but if you want to PM me about any stuff you might want to ask I’d be glad to answer things or help with your work at all!I really appreciate how welcoming you guys all are! I’ll definitely be seeing you guys at the Midwinter Party. I’d love to get into contact with those that are well versed in furry history. And I’d be more than happy to share the paper publicly with you guys when it’s all finished up.Hey all! Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to say that that the party last Sunday was great! Not only did I get tons of material for my paper, but I had a genuinely good time. I apologies for being as distance as I came off. Distance was apart of the assignment. But next time I’ll be a lot more outgoing with you guys, and get a lot more involved. Speaking of which, I’d love to attend your next bi-weekly meet-up on the second. I also would love to set up some interviews with you guys too. Preferably with as many different members of the community as I can. That is, the long running members of the fandom, those who are new to it, artists, people who fursuit, people who don’t, seriously anyone would be a big help. -
