For those who missed the meeting, here's the (short) notes of what happened!
- Introduction to board members present and discussion of benefits of incorporation
- Notification of changes coming to the community group
- Why? The board is only 5 people, and can't do everything! They need help and lots of it.
- Forming of 3 new subdivisions of Community! They are:
- Volunteers – Both those who volunteer for events, and keeping track of all volunteers
- Event Management – Helping coordinate those who host our events – furmeets, picnics, and everything else that's not the con
- Research – From census crunching to finding out more information about our community and more
- Each group is semiautonomous, directing themselves and reporting back to the community group at large.
Each group is looking for a 'lead', or a 'head', someone to take charge. Check the forums for postings about them!
Regionalization – If individuals would like to form a regional subgroup (St. Cloud Furs, North Metro Furs, Rochester Furs, etc) they are encouraged to do so, and can contact the board for assistance in anything they may have.
