The origin of my character’s name began when I was in the first grade. I loved animals, and especially birds, but it wasn’t until I found a stuffed bird in the form of an American Robin at the Como Zoo that I truly was attached to this one personality inside an imagined world. I would always play with the toy, and as I was quite little, I came up with the uniquely creative name “Robin”. I never did rename it until recently. As for the family name, I derived it from the specie name, and took a few letters away from “American” to get “Amican”. Eventually I changed the name of the bird to “Robican”, but most people refer to me by “Robin” for short.

As for the other birds I collected and introduced to my created universe, you can probably guess their names just by looking at them.

I believe that wonder is the insight to discovering more of the world than we can ever imagine possible.

For me I took 2 of my favorite things “Skiing” and the programming language C# (pronounced C-Sharp), so sitting on a deck with a friend, we started throwing together unique user names. Eventually Ski Sharp (Ski#) popped out and I snatched it with my paws and ran with it ever since.

I suppose I could go into my plushies.  Most of them I’ve named after their coloring except Kira (who I generally recognize as my first plushie) my white tigress.

Shayde (small wolf pup) is a light gray color, not quite Shadow and much as the name might have fit, never liked the name “Nails” (from Julie of the Wolves).  Ginger, my next larger wolf, is a sort of dirty caramel color overfur with a warm yellow/tan underfur.  River (Jaag giant wolf) is the same color and reminded me of a river bank.  Amber (little smaller) has a darker variant of the same color.

Snowball and Tundra are my huskies.  Tundra is the Jaag giant.

And finally, my Jaag giant fox is…. Foxy.  Used up all my creativity on other things that day and that’s the only name that ever stuck 😛  I use it more like a nickname but I can’t figure out his real name.

After I realized that the word “flow” and “wolf” were basically the same word spelled backwards, I decided it would be a cool stage name (like DJ Flow Wolf), which never came around.  But I did use it in certain art photography (non-furry) pieces.  When Furry Migration (1st) came around, I had to pick something.  Tempted to use my real name (Wolfgang) I decided to go for the forward-backward name FloWolF instead.  It still feels weird having people refer to me with it though, hopefully I’ll get used to it with time.
