Round Table Discussion: What event do you want to see MNFurs Host?

I want to hear your MNFurs Event! Serious or Ridiculous! (there’s a difference?)

Example:

I want to see MNFurs host Live Action Five Nights at Freddy’s! We rent out a Chucky Cheeses, install a bunch of speakers around the place playing scary sound effects, and our Human-suit contestants must hide from the Fursuiters. You get caught, you get stuffed into fursuit and join the hunt. Humans must survive ten minutes.

Bad idea?

Okay what about Fursuit-Friendly Basketball. 5 vs 5. Mixed teams. Fursuiters who make a basket score double?

WTF DRAKE:

 

Have someone direct a James Bond-esque movie and I can play Odd Job‘s cousin seeking revenge from his death in Goldfinger.  Lol

Possible movie title ideas:  Quantum of Metro, The Fox with the Silver Gun, On the Lion’s Roaring Service, The Chicken who Clucked Me

 

BAD IDEA:

 

We have an event expanded over the course of a couple of weeks…We eat at every restaurant in the metro that begins with the letter ‘A‘.

Examples include AppleBee’s, Arbys, A&W, etc…

 

PLAUSIBLE IDEA:

 

Here is an idea I have pitched to a few others, but this event will be expensive to most…We start at one sushi restaurant that is NOT all you can eat.  Then end it at an all you can eat sushi restaurant.  🙂

 

GOOD IDEA:

 

Dinner gathering at Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge or at the new venue they opened up…Forget what it’s called.

 

OTHER IDEAS:

 

My other ideas include a fursuit romp at Mill Ruins or Loring Park, road trip, camping, etc…

Hey we heard you like fursuits so we got you a fursuit for your fursuit, ya fursuit?

Back on topic, I’d love to see an outdoors ‘themed’ fursuit shoot. Storytelling-style, where it’s not just random woodsy shots but themed like… I don’t know, post apocalyptic, or retelling Red Riding Hood, or something.

Fursuits for warmth for suiters, and fursuit hugs for warmth for non-suiters 🙂

Maybe a movie outing or go to a local museum. Once we move into spring/summer, attend a baseball game, either major or minor.

I like Jac’s idea of museum meet ups. Same with groups that want to meet for plays (doesnt need to be a sponsored event, just fun meet up).

As for an event, if someone hosted over night, we could play the Slenderman game (its a RL version of the game) Where instead of maybe 8 pages, they have to college 8 suiters =b.

I enjoy the movie nights too even if I cant always make them.

I think we all will want to go to the Science Museum when Space comes. I AM SURE THEY WILL HAVE SPACE SHIPS!

But for me – more random outings. Doesn’t have to be put on by MNFurs just people meeting up and having a good time. Heck might have a downtown dinner of the week to help find new gems for Furry Migration’s dining guide.

I wouldn’t mind some smaller scale gaming events, this includes card/video games.

I would love to see round table discussion events planned in advance on topics like Fursuits including maintenance, writing, art, etc. That can be done without being connected to something else. Could even be a quarterly meet up.

But something I desperately want to do is the Water Parks – like Water Park of America or Valley Fair for a weekend. I’m a sucker for those things.

1~ There’s a lovely little park called Swede Hallow there as well that has a walkway, some tunnels, a biking path and a LOT of stairs. So- probably not for the mobility challenged, but it could be fun to go for photography, walking and in the upper level, just hanging out.

2~ It’d be awesome to see a group of furs art jam over at the Dancing Goat in Saint Paul this spring.

3~ It could be fun to see people read things they’ve written live in front of others- a kind of ‘read to me’ kind of theme but with several people reading different parts to make a new and random story from several other stories. Just for fun. :3

4~ I know I’ve said it before, but Chatterbox! I adore that place and it’d be awesome to get even a small group in there for fun, games and food. Not to mention some of the really nice brews in there.

When things look down, challenge them by looking up and seeing the light.

It can be like, a Wisconsin Minnesota happy togetherness community bonding event where we reconcile our differences and we’ll share our cheese with you and you can bring a hotdish.

Don’t worry; I know some EauClaire furs, but if you look around I’m sure you’ll find some furs close to you.

Your from eau claire spooky.  I have had the idea of setting up a romp downtown barstow at somepoint and seeing if any of the close mnfurs wanted to come
